Zahvaljujući tim svojstvima, prikladna je i za one koji iz zdravstvenih razloga moraju ograničiti količinu vlakana u prehrani. Žitarice se prethodno nježno termički obrađuju kako ih ne bi trebalo kuhati, a kaša je gotova za nekoliko minuta. Međutim, kaša zadržava svoju nutritivnu vrijednost, nježnu konzistenciju, ugodan okus i laku probavljivost.
